2010 review

This post took me more than a week to put together… It was Xmas and then i was sick for 5 days ( i had bronchotis and flu at the same time and fever about 40 degrees!), then it was New Years and i never had time to complete this! But better late than never…..

As i was going through my photos from 2010 i was surprised how much have i done! Weddings, family portraits, festival plus my own projects. Hopefully next  year will bring more and more interesting projects and lot’s of photography! The order of the photos is completely random.

This photo is from Junction Festival 2010. We had an opportunity to take photos of Hypnotic Brass Ensemble rehersal in O’Keeffes. I like this photo because they all are in their own element and look very natural. The photo is taken just after the band members finished arguing with each other.

This is Phathu and she is from South Africa. She is working as an enineer for an international company in Clonmel. That’s how  she ended up spending last year  here in Ireland. It was the first time for her to see snow and experience such cold temperatures. I decided to bring her for a short trip to Mahon Falls. We nearly had to turn around as the road conditions were so bad… But Brian didnt give up and made an effort to drive to Mahon Falls and it was amazing. This photo is taken on on a random foggy road. I brought balloons because they are very photogenic. I asked Phathu to stand in middle of the road and have some fun 😀 I love foggy weather!!!

This photo is taken in Kittys Railway Bar in Clonmel. This was the first time when i tested my studio lights (haven’t really used them after that). I know that the left side of her face is burnt out but as i have said before i’m not a freak of technical perfection. This photo has been titled as “Daughter of Mafia” and “anti-glamour”. I think the model (Sarah Greene) was prefectly in her role and i love that she is wearing bit oversized blazer!

This is taken at junction Festival 2010. It’s Cedric Watson on the photo. He is one of the characters i could just keep photographing. His face is so expressive and so interesting.

How could i not post a photo of my cute cat Hippie?  🙂 I found her in July 2010 and started looking after her…

This is Phathu again. I took those yellow flowers and put together this headband for her (this is what we do in Estonia!).

I am taking photos of that baby every month and then when she will be one year old i will pu together a book of her development. This is on of my favourite photos.

This photo is taken at Junction Festival and love it. This guy is a member of the African band called Nyali. Their music and their performance energy is amazing! Plus they have the warmest and the happiest personalities!

This photo is one of my favourite bridal portraits. Still, there is many things on this photo i could have done better… And i know what these are 😀

This is a photo of Cedric Watson again….

I love how the kids react for the bubbles. Makes them completely relaxed and not think about the presence of camera or other people.

This photo is taken at one the weddings in Mullinahone. The couple is just married and is coming down the aisle. Thier daughter is in front of them and i love the expressions and mood in this photo. I think it shows a lot of their character.

I took this photo in June (or May) 2010. This boy was brilliant in front of the camera! He  was like an  actor!

I am still missing out so many photos but i don’t want to make this post  too long!

I miss home today… I was flicking through the photos i have previously taken. There were lot of photos with old friends and family and it just made me miss home 🙂

This photo is taken last Christmas when it was -25 degrees outside, i tried to get some cool robot photos in snow but it was tooooo cold and my camera had a blackout and refused to work! I guess  Nikon family is not used to Estonian cold winters 🙂  That was the only photo i got from the robots on that day.

This photo also makes me miss the toy photography (check out the following photos from flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/22057976@N04/sets/72157623664005105/ )

I think I will wipe dust from my toys and start again 🙂

These robots by the way were the coolest accessories for last Christmas and everyone loved them 🙂
